i just checkout out this site. It apparently has simulated practice tests for sale. How reliable are their questions and scores? anyone knows?

i just checked out this website. It also sells simulated gmat tests. Has anyone tried their tests and can share whether their scoring and questions are accurate and reflective of the actual exam? it would be nice to know.

I just took their Free Simulation.

GENERAL Impression.
The download takes 10-15 minutes.
It is a very User-Friendly software.
In the software there are also other quite cool features. I was most impressed by their question bank where you
can practice questions on the exact topic that you wish, on different difficulty levels, and choose the time limit you prefer.
For example you can choose to practice:
Combinatory - Difficult - 12 questions - 1 minute per question.
The software also includes Flash cards, GMAT games and some articles that I think are identical to the ones in their website.

Their free simulation.
The math is very difficult. More than GMATPrep (but the same style).
(I scored 48 on GMATPRep and 47 on PrepWizard)
I believe the Verbal is too easy.
(I scored 46 on GMATPRep and 38 on PrepWizard)

Overall I think its a very good test,
Although I would not rely on the credibility of the Verbal score.
I think it is a good option for someone who needs extra practice.
I realy think about purchasing their Question Bank.

TheBBB1982, well, i also thought that the verbal might be easy. However, when I look at your scores, it looks to me that you found the verbal on prep wizard more challenging than that on gmatprep. Are you saying that the verbal score is not accurate because it undermines your potential verbal score or over estimates your verbal score? I honestly prefer that it undermines so that I can know the least score that I can expect, but when the score over estimates, then you can't really know how low your real score will be. I purchased the tests from the prep wizard and have taken two tests so far. Here are my scores:

Test 1: 650 (Q35, V43)
Test 2: 660 (Q31, V49)

So I really don't know whether this means I can expect a lower score, roughly the same score, or even a higher score on the real test. what do you think? i'm gonna have my test on the 2nd of april.

Not sure if I follow you. So you think Verbal is too easy on PrepWizard, but you scored a 38?

Sorry, I got confused with the numbers:
On the verbal section on PrepWizard I got 46.
On the verbal section on GMATPrep 1 I got 38.

I understood that the only reliable estimate of your GMAT score is
when you take GMATPrep.
Not Kaplan, not Princeton, not Manhattan and not PrepWizard.
Only GMATPrep!

Anyway, I also purchased PrepWizard software so I'll let you know about my scores,
but I dont really know if it will happen before your test day. sorry.

thanks buddy. but damn, i was hoping that this test would be at least as accurate as the real test. I need some more practice tests especially those that are difficult. I've taken the gmat prep like 5 times. do you recommend that I keep reinstalling them? I've noticed that when I do that, the math questions seem to keep changing, but the verbal questions are just repetitive. They really don't like to give you the chance to improve on your verbal huh? :s any advice?

I just took their free simulation and it is surprisingly good!
The math section is excellent (Their Study Center also seems very helpful)
The Verbal section is not too good (CR and RC are good, SC I believe is too easy).

How come its the first time I hear about them?!!!
They seem to be very professional, how come no one knows about them?

The simulators seem to be really good. However, I noticed that some of their verbal questions are exactly copied from the OG or even from the 1000 CR and 1000SC's. I know that because i've covered over 90% of these questions. However, I haven't touched the 1000 RC, so i wouldn't know whether any copies where made from there. The funny part that I realised is that some of the CR or SR questions that were copied were a bit modified. For example, let's say that the same CR question from the 1000CR that would talk about the poll ratings in florida will be the same question in the wizard prep, but is modified to talk about the poll ratings in india or in any other asian country. It is the same exact question that I saw from 1000CR or 1000SC cause I recognize them, but the wordings have been slightly changed. no creativity there at all. were these tests made in india? that would explain why the math questions are so good cause they are really good in math. but the verbal questions lack creativity. from the first 2 tests that i did, i would say that there were probably at least 40% of the verbal questions being copied from both the OG and 1000SC and 1000CR. The math is just excellent.

ok, it seems that this company is based in israel. Also, I managed to receive an email from them explaining their scoring. At the moment, their math score is only 0.7 off from that of the GMATPrep, an awesome accuracy. As for the verbal, they are currently working on it and they are expecting that the verbal score will be almost as accurate as that of the GMATprep in about a month. Until then, they advise people to subtract 40 points from the total score in order to reflect an approximate score of the real test. now that's really good. in another month or so, we can expect a more accurate verbal score as well. hope this would help you guys.

Does anyone know whether the study questions are the same Q used on the simulated exams? I want to practice with the study questions but do not want to affect my score?

I downloaded the free demo and tried to take the CAT test. At the end of the Q section the connection fell apart and when I restarted it just gave the score without letting me to even see the V section. Very buggy software.
The Q section is very tough, very similar to MGMAT. I don't understand how you guys think it is a good representative of the real GMAT. Have you taken the real one? The scoring is accurate but the level of difficulty of the questions is not. You can score 49 on both prepwizzard and GMATPrep but you'll have 14 wrong on the former and only 8 on the latter. I think practicing on the right mix of questions is best. GMATPrep gives you that. The explanations were not good expecially on DS. Lot's of typos, details skipped, and absolutely no good strategy. For example, on DS question in which C is the right answer choice, they will start with "taking the 2 statements together is sufficient because...". This should be the last step. I'm sorry.
