Wow TL, I dont know if I would be able to do that.

My wife did buy me a gift certificate for a massage at a spa downtown. I am saving it for when apps are over!

Haha the only consolation I have is that if I get in, I will look back and chuckle at how stressed I was.

Right now, it's hell.

The only strategy I have is to do the group of 3 schools which are due around Oct 9 and wrap it up this weekend, then take a break for a few days, and finish my second 3 which are due around Oct 18. I want to be done with apps before November rolls around. God help me...

I was talking to my friend who is in Law school, he said all his apps required only uploading a single personal statement, and no interviews were mandatory. Why can't business school be the same?

Exactly. Alot of other graduate school disciplines have a common app....its so hard to explain to people everything that goes into the b-school process....its just insane. Maybe thats why the highest suicide rates are Lithuania, Belarus, and b-school applicants....oy vey....

Yes, and Law school is just as competitive, LSATs are just as stressful. I don't understand this answer-these-4-questions-plus-upload-a-3d-short-video stuff. oh well.

You can do it, man. Just take a day off and get your mind off, and then hit it hard starting the next day. You know it's worth it, and the hard work will pay off when you're done. I have been planning my own wedding, travelling from California to Detroit for work 6-days a week, taking dance lessons (again, for the wedding), moving to a new city and apartment, and working on MBA applications. By the time my new wife and I land in Peru on Tuesday, everything is going to be done. It was hard as hell and I was in the same place you are, but I gutted through it and couldn't be happier. You've got it in you, trust me.

I'm just glad I'm nearly done...I haven't submitted any apps but essays are 88% there. For the last week or two though, I've just been tired of working on the apps - I jsut don't feel like it! To top it off, I sprained my ankle on Monday so have been hobbling around for a few days/popping pain killers. I'm looking forward to being done ;)

studying for the GMAT was waaaaaaaaay better ---doing apps is time-consuming, stressful and worst of all ---if i get rejected by all schools i'm applying to i am really going to hate having wasted all this time...

why are b-school apps so hard?? ugh.

I definitely am in the same boat!!

I used to get stressed at seeing posts/ blogs of applicants who are super-fast. But I set things in perspective. Everyone of us is different individual and work at things differently.

For almost two weeks I did not work on apps. Apps and the essays became revolting to me. Now I got the rhytm back again, but taking it easy. I expect to meet the deadlines and I acknowledge stressing over the things will not make the things faster, and even if the things are faster that is not much use either, if I am a strong candidate I will get in.

Let us not forget, stress is a thing we will have to learn living with as an MBA. And We must not let the emotion spill over from the cup, where it should be.
