So yeah, getting an interview is a very positive thing.

Any particular reason that you would choose to upload a word document as opposed to copying your essay in the text area.

By uploading word docs, one has to make sure that all the font, margins, headers, etc are consistent across the essays. But this is not an issue in the text area provided.

But in the text area, you don't get to select your choice of font.

Any other thoughts on this ?

It's less work? :-D

Plus, when word superscripts the "nd" in 2nd, it stays that way!

Seriously, I had all my essays in one word file, then once I was sure of the final content, I broke them up into 5 files. Then I uploaded each one and it looked exactly like I wanted it to, so I thought I'd leave good enough alone.

If I had trouble with the word documents, then yeah I'd give the text box a try.

Considering all the formatting in my resume, I think it'd look like crap if I pasted it into a text box!

yes, once you get an interview invite in your meail you get to schedule an interview over a 2 week period. If you life on the west coast it is ok to do a phone interview.

I don't know when they start reviewing the apps but the interview invites should start around Oct 17th (this is just my predicion I don't know anyone who works in the admissions office :) )

Hmmm, so it's either a phone or on-campus interveiw? No alumni option?

Check the online application website (once you login). I've already submitted my app, but I thought before I did it said the deadline was midnight. But maybe I'm thinking of another school?

I figured as much because the only two online apps I've worked on are Duke and Ross, and I know Duke has a 5PM EST deadline.

What is the protocol for essay heading format? Do we need to use a specific format at the top of the essay or include specific items (e.g., list essay question, last name, DOB, etc.)?

ryguy, just submitted mine.

I added my name and the essay topic (both italicized) at top of each page, followed by the essay content.

Don't think the site mentioned any specific format for heading. All it says is - enter your name and the essay topic.

I just updated the original post with the names of all the R1 applicants. If anyone else has applied or is applying to Ross in R1, please let me know so I can add you to the list.

I just got word that my second recommender submitted his letter, so a few more essay tweaks tonight and I'll be good to go!
