How are Verbal tests in the challenge ?

I saw many reviews regarding Math section but nothing for Verbal. Can anybody point me to links for Verbal challenge review or in general tell me how it is against the GMAT ?

Hello,

My name is Pierre and I am new to this forum (first post) -- I have finally decided to take the GMAT and have been preparing for nearly 2 months. I just took the M25 to see if I'd like to purchase the entire set.

Question: Is there anyway to "sort" the responses by test number? In other words, if I'd like to bring up all the discussions regarding Test M25, how do I do that?

Thanks,
P.

P.S. Can I get a promotion code to purchase test pack? :|

Unfortunately, we don't have this feature available right now. What you can do is searching this forum for threads containing "m25" in there titles. You can find the search link in the top right corner of the screen.

Welcome to the community! We're sure you'll find a lot of valuable info in here.

Another quick question --

Are the 25 Math tests "ordered" in a certain way? e.g, from easy to difficult.. etc.. or completely random?

Thanks,
P.

They are not ordered in any particular way. The order is random.

How do you 'search' for a topic? For example, if I want to see all the discussions on the M04 test.. if I type "m04" in search box, nothing comes up. However, I know for a fact that there ARE a few discussions on this test..

Thanks,
P.

Thanks for all the prompt replies recently.

I apologize in advance if I'm not posting this question in the correct place -- I've been heavily preparing for the GMAT (in 3 weeks), for the past 2 months. I feel pretty confident with verbal, and have been hitting Q pretty hard. I recently purchased the GMAT Club Tests, and have finished M1-5. My results are pretty terrible so far (40-50%ile) but I'm learning from mistakes.

Here's my question: After thorough review of Combination/Permutations, I am still totally confused. I've read multiple books, reviewed courses, and even looked at youtube lectures! IS there a certain section on this forum dedicated to these problems, or perhaps a certain review book anyone can recommend?

Often, I think a problem is a typical "probability" -- but then the answer involves weird permutation/combination. Are there any 'clues' or short-cuts.. any tell-tale signs as to how to solve these common problems?

Again, sorry if this is not the place to post this question.. test is nearing, and I'm beginning to get frazzled!

Do the tests get progressively harder or are they of approximate equal difficulty? I have worked the first 3 Quant tests.

Some users may find some of the tests tougher than the others. This usually has to do with personal math strengths and weaknesses.

After mastering the basics you need to practice more and more. If you score high in GMAT Prep you'll likely score similarly in the real GMAT. You'll find a lot of valuable strategy info in this forum:

Hope this helps you guys.

My understanding is that GMAT club tests (Quant) are supposed to be as difficult, if not more than the real GMAT. Does that mean that these questions are designed for those who are hoping to score in the very upper levels of Quant, say 48+?

If that's the case, won't those questions be out of the league of someone currently scoring in the 35-40 range?

Our tests are designed so that if you score high in them, real GMAT quant questions will not be a problem at all. Practicing with harder questions makes you more prepared for the real Test. Many GMAT Clubbers used our tests to boost their quant scores from around 40 to 40+ and even to 50-51. See these threads for more info regarding the GMAT Club Tests:
8-t62120
8-t66616
8-t29703
8-t30989
7-t64735

Hope this helps. Good luck with your prep!

How does the verbal tests fair with the gmatprep?

I have plateaued in verbal at V36, and I need to get up to V40 percentile.

Will this help me?

Thanks Dz. I read those earlier. I was wondering if some/any changes were implemented based on the some of the suggestions from the board members.

Improving Verbal Tests is still a task on the list of the things to do. Sorry. We didn't implement the suggestions yet but will do so in a while.
