+1 sterny, esp. for the starting early and using your visits wisely. I would add one thing - do those two things I just mentioned in combination! I waited too long to visit schools, and when I ended up learning a ton from current students, I had to rush a bit to incorporate that info into my essays. Anyway, great advice here.

This is really great and will definitely be very helpful to future applicants. In the years to come, people all over the world will be on forums asking "Does anybody know where I can download Sterny's Guide to the application process?"

absolutely brilliant ! +1 for you.

By the way, which schools did you end up targeting ? And is there any chance you'd want to share your research notes ? :)

I am waiting for the interview part as well.

Sterny, you should format the guide with some color/font size to make it easy to navigate. :-D
