Did you guys get the application complete email? I did not get any.Also my application status still shows submitted.Is it the case with others?

No, I did not get the application complete email. I interviewed in early Feb.

There are still a couple of days left and even in case you don't get invited, they may still waitlist you without an interview. It happened in R1 if I remember right and happened to me at Haas.

Even though i have interviewed at Ross - i still feel it can go either way for me.

On the whole - things are uncertain for everybody till 15th

I am new to this forum and thread. I am an R2 applicant to Ross and interviewed on campus on Feb 16th. Can someone please add me to the first page?

Here is my interview experience:

I interviewed with a member of Ad com as students were all occupied with exams that week and hence not many were available to do all the interviews. My interview started 10 minutes late for some strange reason. The interviewer came and introduced herself (just the first name..didn't say if she was a student or staff) and as we walked to a room in the admissions office she asked a few ice breaker sort of questions like: how was the drive from Chicago etc? Then as we settled down, she said something on the lines of: Well I have 25 mins to ask you some questions so lets get started. I wasn't sure if she had read my file already since I suspected she was on the ad com but I wasn't sure whether it was appropriate to ask that question, so I just went on with the interview. Overall the interview wasn't very conversational and she didn't take any notes at all (which was a bit strange for me however she did smile and nod to acknowledge at various points during the interview). The questions she asked were pretty standard:

- What do you do at your current company?

- What made you decide to pursue an MBA?

- Why do you think Ross fits your needs for an MBA?

- What is unique about you? How will Ross students benefit from you?

- What do you do outside work?

- Talk about a time when you had to deal with a difficult team and what was your role?

- Any questions for me?

The only thing that stumped a bit was that the questions I had mentally prepared to ask my interviewer were more geared towards a student and his/her experience at Ross, so I had to think on my feet and come up with one or two questions for her. One of the questions was more for the Office of Career Development (OCD) but she was happy to answer it anyway. The interview probably lasted around 30 minutes and I didn't feel rushed at all. She was very happy to let me do the talking and take my time with my answers.

Afterwards, I attended an informal Info session by Soojin. There were probably about 20 or so prospective students in there (mostly R2s who were interviewing that day) but a few R3s as well. The first half an hour of the Info session was the usual stuff about Ross: Action-based learning, MAP, RLI, M-Treks etc etc followed by a Q&A session. The most important take away from the entire session was that they didn't get as many applications in R2 as initially anticipated. Hence, there is a lot of hope for those waitlisted in R1 or for those who may get waitlisted in R2. Soojin also explicitly stated that if applicants feel like they have a strong application now, then she'd highly encourage applicants to apply in R3 rather than wait for next year.

Afterwards we toured the new building which was awesome and the new gym is definitely pretty state-of-the-art. I loved the open space and of course the Winter Garden. The tour was followed by lunch with some students and then I met up with someone from the BW forum in the Winter Garden. We just hung out with a couple of other prospective students later in the afternoon. So, all in all, it was a good visit and I made some good acquaintances.

By the way, while chit chatting with the secretary at the front desk in the admissions office, I extracted some insider info that they were still reviewing applications. In fact, she was pulling applications off of the system as we were chatting. She said that they will be calling a ton of people for interviews till the end of the month.

yup I agree! I am giving up on Ross. Waiting for Wharton hoping till the last minute did not work out as well and Ross is headed the same way. Good luck to everyone being interviewed. Adios fellas!!

So no round 2 Super Saturday, huh? Interesting...

Nope, I found that interesting too since Ross takes more candidates from R2 than R1.

It will also be interesting to see if they do it again next year - was the wine and dine worth it in terms of yield for those students?

Anyone planning on going to GBR the first weekend in April?

I am trying to decide. Let me know!
