I cant digest the OA for 2nd question. How cum it is E? it is written clearly in the passage that "Such transfers require that electrically neutral clouds, with uniform charge distributions, become electrified by separation of charges into distinct regions"

NItya, can u pls post the OE for 2Q?

My answers
D
E(A,B,C use clause 'where they originate' but there is nothing mentioned in the passage as such,D says 'originate in clouds where'...again no sucn info in passage. E is right because it tells as the passage mentions that lightning is because passage says "Such transfers require that electrically neutral clouds, with uniform charge distributions, become electrified by separation of charges into distinct regions". This implies that neutral clouds have uniform dis and the distribution shud be non-uniform for lightning to occur.) This was my approach...
B
E

Ritula, can you please explain why you chose A for the 17, I could not understand how the term "issue" mentioned in the
question goes along with the passage.

I chose A by POE and also bcos the whole passage deals with the process of how Lighteing occurs. it starts with Benjamin's theory of lightening and then goes on describing a phenomenon describing how it occurs.
Thanks for 2nd question. ur reasoning is apt.
