Any late stats on 3rd round applications? I heard that schools split their acceptance rate in 3, so that they don't get short surprised during any round. Is that true?

What do you mean by "split their acceptance rate in 3"?

3rd Round Applications [#permalink]
The acceptance rate in 3 meaning that out of 1200 accepted, 400 more or less come from 1st round, 400 +- comes from 2nd round and 400 +- comes from 3rd round.

Also, could you tell if applying early on the 3rd round, will your application be evaluated before the last one sent on the 3rd round deadline? Thank you

Most schools do not split acceptances evenly between rounds. They accept more applicants during the first two round or by January and fewer applicants in the later rounds.

Schools have different policies about reviewing applications before the deadline arrives. Some, like NYU, reveiw them as they come in. Others will review all the applications after the deadline passes.

Good luck!

Thank you. Any information on HBS, Stanford, Wharton, Kellog? Do they wait untill all application come to start reviewing or will they normally review the applications as soon as they arrive?

Thank you,

These schools definitely do not evenly split acceptances among the different rounds. I believe that Wharton may review a few applications before the round officially closes, but I am not sure about the other schools. NYU and Columbia review applications as they come in.

You can ask this question on Wharton's student2student board, if it isn't already answered there. Also, Kellogg has a representative replying to questions on the Busienssweek Forum.

Good luck!
