Re: Critical reasoning in critical condition !!!!! [#permalink]
well bb , the problem seems to be that i've already gone over cr bible once , and hence i faintly remember the answer explanations to the questions in each chapter . With Og the problem seems to be that im not able to correlate why i chose an answer to some of the questions i got right with the cr bible principles , and the ones that im getting wrong , i actually try to use cr bible principles but it takes too much time , and i end up making a hasty decision (i currently time CR questions at 1.5 minutes) .... !

i dont follow the cr bible instructions as hard and fast rules , but rather try to use them like guidelines , which might help in resolving the question

i think u have to follow CR bible coz i also faced the timing issues at the initial stage but later my CR timing was around 1 min. and accuracy was more than 95%.
You can use your own method as well but do so only if you are 100% sure about the method..
because on GMAT any silly mistake could be a disaster.. :)
Also, in GMAT CR is very important, so make sure that u use the best possible method..

Let me make sure I understand this right - you paid $30 for a book written by someone who gets paid to create Verbal GMAT strategy (that's what the guy does all day long), but instead of following the map, you prefer to vaguely remember the directions and fumble around not knowing where to go, and wondering what could have gone wrong. Does anything look wrong with that picture?

hmmm , got your point bb  , but what im concerned about is whether each and every question should be solved using the framework of critical reasoning bible in certain situations where im not able to correlate the wrong answer choices/correct answer choices as per the book's description ?
