I got an invite to interview yesterday. So I guess that means they are still sending out invitations. Good luck to everyone else. Does anybody know what percent of people who get interviewed are admitted?

Very solid applicant. I would think the percentage of interviewees that get accepted is high, but regardless, I wouldn't worry so much if I were you. I work with a Navy commander (HBS) and a Lieutenant (also ivy), and both have told me that being an officer helped a tremendous amount in applying to b-school.

I looked into that at one point, and Stanford's wasn't as high as I had expected. They interview about ~15% and admit around 8-9%, so it's roughly 50 to 60% when you make the cut for interviews.

Re: Calling All Stanford Fall 2010 applicants! [#permalink]
So does anyone know why Stanford GSB has been so quiet on the R1 app process thus far? Last update was on their blog Oct. 2 but since then it has just been very obscure. I understand it is a complicated process, but there has been very little updates and even interviews sent (it seems). I guess their wait is the most nerve racking and that is why I am inquiring as to why. At least with Harvard and Wharton it is pretty clear, no invite on Oct. 16th from Harvard and no invite by Nov. 12th from Wharton means no matriculation (not much of a waiting game there). Please advise.

Yeah, I think Stanford adcom must've taken the year off. They've decided not to have a class of 2012. Sucks for us.

@steeler99
I have a strong hunch that the invites are going to flow in big numbers starting this monday

@indian applicants
Finally an Indian seem to have received an invite. Got to know from BW forum.

Let's hope the wait ends for all of us soon....

All the Very Best! to everyone :-)

I have yet to submit my app (R2) but empathize with those of you who are waiting. I have to admit that schools (including those that already started sending out invites) have a lot of work to do in terms of transparency. Personally, I rather know that all invites are out than have a glimpse of hope lingering 'till the decision date....

Yes I'm amazed how quiet they've been. This thread is so much shorter than all the others for the schools I applied to? Do we have a roll call on how many invites have been sent out?

I was watching some of the student videos (Youtube or Stanford GSB videos) - Why Stanford? Why MBA? etc. I have to say, these individuals seem more genuine than at any other program. I actually reached out to a student (in a club) and for the past 2 months have been emailing back and forth. Really seems like a nice community.

@ triple5soul
I know what you mean. That's the exact feel i have from Stanford. It is a really close knit unit.
Frankly, this is the school i really want to get in to.
I didn't get an HBS invite but i couldn't care less but for Stan, i have my fingers crossed.

Could we get an update on the first page?

I did my interview last week. My interviewer this time was a lot easier to talk to than the last one. Barely asked me any of the Stanford suggested questions. Seemed more interested in just chatting and getting to know me. Quite a relief actually.
