No invite. Start worrying? I wonder how much of the remaining 50% they're done with. Last time I called, they said they hadn't gotten to my application yet. Either way, a wad of papers with my name on it is gathering dust

I empathize with all the applicants who have not received interview invites yet. I am back home in NYC for Thanksgiving holiday break already so I am not sure if the admissions office is even open today.

Also, what do you mean that your application has not been received by the admissions office? Didn't you apply online? As long as it was submitted online before R1 deadline, you have nothing to worry.

Did you hear about the legend of Bschool Fairies? I prayed to Booth-Fairy, Kellogg-Fair, and YSOM-Fairy last year and I got into all three. Tuck-Fairy wasn't reliable at all since I thought I was promised an admit, but instead, I was WL'ed. If I ever meet Tuck-Fairy, I am gonna ask for refund....

No, but I have heard of the Bschool Clauses..YSOM Clause, Booth Clause...

Rudolph better guide YSOM Clause to my house.

YSOM Clause should check its list twice and to know that my gpa might be naughty but my gmat could be nice

nink,

Apologies if you've had this discussion before but how did you decide between Booth, Kellogg, and Yale? Would your decision have been different if you received acceptance to Tuck?

The logic behind on how I chose YSOM over other schools can be found in last year's YSOM thread. But yes, Tuck was my top choice. If Tuck admitted me, I would have went there without any doubt.

Just got a mail from Yale

Greetings from the Yale School of Management! Now that much of the first application round is behind us, we wanted to touch base to let you know where things stand in the round and what to expect in the next few weeks.

We are still very much in the midst of reviewing applications and sending out interview invitations. We have sent out the majority of our invitations at this point, but there are still a number of interview spaces left for December and we will continue to send out invitations as we review applications. For those applicants who have not been invited to interview, there is still time.

In terms of releasing decisions, our decision notification date is December 18. This is much earlier than in the past, when the date was in mid-January. We moved the date up as an aid to applicants so they can know their status before the New Year rather than afterwards. Although we had hoped to release some decisions before the 18th, given the amount of work that goes into the process and the compressed timeline already involved in a December release date, we do not anticipate releasing decisions before the notification date. We realize that especially for those of you who interviewed with us earlier in the round this may seem like a long wait, but we appreciate your patience as we work to get things finalized on our end. Only a couple more weeks to go!

As always, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to let us know.

Best regards,

over the past two years, ive realized how modern progress is so reliant on marketing and sales skills across industries and applications. adcom emails and decision letters are such solid examples. i love stanford's rejection letter (no i didnt apply there).

@nink - possible. the cfa fairy helped me pass level 2 on the first attempt this year. maybe the mba fairy will be kind too.
