At least going by the gmatclub stats, that looks quite plausible.

of course, this is mere speculation unless you're an NYU adcom member. as i've said in other threads to other people, feel free to speculate as much as you like about any school's admission process, but please don't make things seem like fact when you are merely stating your observation or opinion.

Hoping this isn't true! I received my interview invite in January after submitting on 11/15. Just interviewed last week and now waiting to hear back.

Wait, seriously, you got dinged in R2 already? Sorry to hear that. I thought it was too early for R2 stuff to be going out, especially since R1 isn't done yet ... any other R2 applicants hear anything???

Stern is a really hard school to get in.. In fact I was just doing some post analysis and looks like if you are a male, Stern is probably as tough as S or H.

Just a sample point
Booth which is a great school as well.. received ~3800 apps for 600 seats
Stern again a great school receives ~4700 apps for 415 seats...
Ross ~2700 apps for 450 seats..

Additionally Stern has 40% female acceptances....

Again Kudos to those who got into Stern :) Celebrate guys

For those that have applied or received notice, does the Submission Status of the application change? For example, to "Under Review..." etc?
