I think Duke releases all the invites/decisions at once. So if you didn't get an invite, you probably will not get an invite. But Duke does waitlist without interview invite.

For those that have interviewed- did anybody receive any oddball questions they weren't prepared for?

The interview is completely straight forward and conversational, I wouldnt worry about odd ball questions.

I've asked at least a dozen current students this same question in the past day or so and they've all had the exact same answer as Ginetta. But they all interviewed in Durham with 2nd year/adcom. Don't know if alum interviews are crazier.

I have my alumni interview in Mumbai on the 16th only 4 hours after Ross interview. I've never been to Mumbai so hope I can navigate my way to both in time. Good luck to the rest of you!

Just interviewed with an AdCom member London, and typing this out from a starbucks next door. Think it went pretty well.Hopefully, anyway. I think it's great they actually flew out admissions officers to do interviews outside the US.

She said we had an hour, but that she didn't expect it to take the whole hour. I probably spoke too much, so we went over by 5 minutes, but she was cool about it. Like someone said earlier, it was very conversational; she probably asked me like 5 questions, all standard stuff.

One thing she mentioned in response to my question is that for those who got interview invites, the decision is only pending the interview report being submitted. So it would seem that the interview is pretty key. Time will tell.

Can anyone tell how and when the decision on R1 waitlist gonna be rendered. Are there any historical data to prove that some people do make to the admit list from the waitlist.

Hmmm, so JB, did she give you the impression that adcom already had an initial decision on the candidate that was pending the interview results? That is the interview results would confirm/change their already well-formed opinion of the applicant? Or am I misunderstanding?

Was anyone else at the Fuqua Friday event on the 12th? There were a bunch of prospective students there, most interviewing on Saturday 2/13. It was actually a really neat time - tons of students / partners / profs / etc. This week's theme was 'Chinese New Year' and they had some great food from China & Asia. :-D

I'm interviewing on 2/16 on campus, pretty nervous about it too. :|

Good luck to everyone.

So I've submitted my FAFSA to Fuqua and now also see that i need to submit a form directly to Fuqua. When I go to fill out the Form it asks for my Duke ID and Duke email address, which of course I don't have because I'm not yet a student, much less been accepted yet...what are all of you doing for this? I believe the deadline to submit it is March 1st.

I was there and interviewed on Saturday. ICYA, you don't happen to be from the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area, do you?
