hey sorry for the confusion, I meant "nonUScosigner loan", and site says its available!
do u have any info on till when would normally be the seats @ ASW be available??

I am waiting on some info for schols, other than that I should be coming

Where did you see the info on no co-signer loan availability for international students? I just accessed the financial aid link and this is what I saw:

CFI cannot confirm funding availability for the EXTRA MBA Loan Program for the 2010-2011 academic year at this time. This will be finalized in January/February 2010.

I asked a current student when I should enlist for the ASW and he said that Apr 23 shouldn't be a problem unless more students sign up. I'll be emailing the KF ASW staff as well. I'll update you if I get word.

whats the protocol here, i am a newbie, need a little help!

I got mine yesterday, so you should be getting one soon (I live in Durham). It's a pretty nice looking hardcover Class of 2012 student guide. Very nicely done compared to the flash drive I got from Duke that doesn't even work. Argh.

The guide had the same admit letter and then quite a bit of extra information. Most of it you can find on the admitted student website, but it's nice to have it all put together well. Mine didn't have any additional information scholarship-wise, but that could just be that I didn't get one. Or it could be that that letter goes out separately (7-10 days as the website says), so who knows? Just glad I got in and actually have a choice to make! All the best!

For those who have been waitlisted, who do you recommend contacting to give updated information for your application? And should this be done with a letter, or is an email sufficient? Thanks!

As per Susan Brooks in her email about loans for international students, all fellowship/scholarship details will be emailed no Feb 12. We will all get an email regardless if we received a fellowhip/scholarship or not.

She also confirmed the availability of no co-signer loans for all international students. This will include tuition and other mandatory fees. Living expenses will NOT be covered. The full details will be communicated to students in the next weeks/months.

Cool, thanks for the info. UNC is the only school I've heard back from. My other applications were for Jan. deadlines, so if I get accepted anywhere else I plan to visit each before making a decision. Did you decide between UNC and Duke?

I haven't decided yet. I'll try to visit both schools over the next couple of months before deciding. Duke and UNC are the only two schools I got into -- I applied pretty early (October, November rounds). Good luck with everything.

Sounds like something good to worry about. :)

I am hoping to be in a similar situation where I have to pick schools. I really enjoyed UNC's environment. Duke's campus was very impressive, especially with the new building. Having their own library is a definite plus.

In the same boat here (hopefully). Applied to, visited and interviewed at both schools. I actually live in the area and my wife has said that, while I may apply to any school in the nation, I really only have two choices as far as she's concerned. Love it.

Good luck to all. May we all be so lucky as to have choices!

Got a ping today from KF asking for official transcripts. Guess I must have missed that we were supposed to send those from the start ... most schools just need scans unless you are already accepted. Anyway, they broke the radio silence for a second!

Does anyone know when Experience Weekend is? Just want to get these all on my calendar just in case...

I got an interview with Kenan on 15 Feb via telephone.

The interviewer just asked only basic questions and some questions that were out of my professions.
I thought that my answer did not show my capability. It was just like a normal conversation.

I am quite nervous since I did not know how the interviewer is going to help me. UNC is one of my top choice schools.

I'm sure they do. I'd imagine after you have accepted their offer of admission.

Hi all ,

I am new here. I have been invited for a interview by UNC today.
Weird thing is that I haven't even submit online application for final round yet,
the email is like following.
Do you guys think I should still go for this interview, even chance will be low than previous rounds???... :?:
they just want me to pay application fee?? strange...

---

We see that you have started an application to UNC Kenan-Flagler's MBA program. We are happy to inform you that you have been invited to interview as part of the Kenan-Flagler MBA application process. This is a positive indication of our assessment of your candidacy. In order to schedule your interview, you will need to submit Part I of the application.

We encourage you to complete your interview on-campus. As part of the on-campus interview experience, you will be able to sit in on a class, take a tour of our facility, and have lunch with current students. If an on-campus visit is not possible, we also offer phone, video and alumni interviews (in some locations). All interviews are equally weighted in the admissions process. Please visit the "Schedule an Interview" link at our Application Central site to select an interview date, time, type and other visit components (if you have not yet submitted Part I of the application, you will not be able to schedule an interview at this time).
