Thanks everyone, I appreciate the comments. I'm not applying to business school for a little while, but I hope things turn out well for everyone applying this year (R2 and R3).
kaptain - I actually know someone who got a 50Q/45V and earned a 770. I guess there's a small bit of variance between your two subset scores and your actual score. I don't mind all that much since I'm satisfied with my score. If, however, my 51Q/44V ended up being 650 or something like that, then I'd feel a little cheated knowing the subscore breakdowns of several other people.
dkGmat - I don't know the exact word counts for my essays but I would say they were on the long side. For both essays, i wrote about 3 sentences in the intro, 4-6 sentences in each of three body paragraphs, and 3 sentences for the conclusion. I strongly suggest writing 5-paragraph essays if you can help it, instead of 4-paragraph essays.
JoyLibs - my study plan basically included both GMAT preps, both taken twice, some kaplan tests (which I basically ignored), a PR practice test, and GMAT powerprep. I studied for maybe 5 or 6 weeks prior to my exam, between 5-10 hours a week.
