the similar (perhaps more) tension is building up for us Sloan LGO candidates as well :)

I am a deferred R1 applicant and have not yet got any news from MIT.

Has someone heard of anything? It's been almost 6 months of waiting...

Nothing here. Someone on BW said they called and were told that most decisions would go out this week. Something tells me that given the quantity and quality of applicants to MIT this year, deferred effectively means "respectfully dinged." It was a good run . . .

GMAT: 750/6
GPA: 3.8 BS top 15 national university, 3.9 MS top 5 national university
WE: 1.5 years top 10 consulting, 2.5 years top 5 investment management
extracurriculars: student government leadership, volunteer work leadership, nothing spectacular
impressive honors/awards/fellowships/scholarships: none

Harvard: R1 rejected w/o interview
Stanford: R1 rejected w/o interview
Penn: R1 rejected w/o interview
MIT: R2 interviewing

mmmm so it seems that interview invites are pretty much over... So deferred candidates without interview should be expecting to be dinged? I didn't hear about invites in Asia or Latam...
