i am looking at the evening program at both kellogg and booth. Are they less or more competitive than the weekend program ? can one move between the weekend and evening programs?

Well the GMAT averages tends to be higher for the weekend programs. Another difference is that a substantial portion of weekenders are from out of town. For Kellogg PT, for example, the weekend average is 700 whereas the evening average is around 685.

I have heard people who apply to start in January usually have slightly better chances because most people want to start in the fall (there is no real logical reason but I suppose we are all little used to starting school in the fall).

Both schools allow movement between weekend and evening programs. I think Kellogg allows it once.

thanks....so would it be an advantage to apply to the part time program for evening and then move to the weekend program...?

For admissions? I think yes. But the big disadvantage is that you are also changing sections by moving from weekend to evenings. And you may have trouble bonding with the new section after they have become acclimated to each other. Just my opinion.

I have heard many people say they have developed a lifelong relationship with people in their section.

Hey guys,
haven't seen too many people on this forum applying to Kellogg / Booth part time programs. I am applying for the Weekend programs at Booth and Kellogg.
Here's my profile:
graduate degree from Purdue. GPA 3.92.
GMAT - 750
7 years work ex in Operations mgmt - good career growth.
Good ECs

I have my interview at Booth coming up on 3/30. I applied on 3/12. I'm still working on my Kellogg app and plan to submit sometime in mid-April.

Hope more people start posting their profiles and the admission decision they receive.

Good luck everyone!!

Good luck to those applying. I applied to the evening program at Chicago, which is probably relevant for comparison to the weekend program. My profile is on page 9 of the main profile page (can't post links). My timeline was something like this: submitted app 2/10; interview 2/24; accepted 3/4.

I think 3-4 weeks is normal. I have read Booth PT chats and Kellogg PT site and they both stated the admission decision, assuming one can interview within 3-4 weeks, will take 3-5 weeks.

Can any Kellogg PT admit share their application experience with me. I recently started looking at Kellogg PT, and will apply assuming I can get my essays in shape in the next month or so - not the easiest task given the amount of applications I am juggling at this time.

No... and I have become SUCH a wreck because of it!!! It's almost like waiting to hear from a hot girl after the first date (ALMOST....)
However, I did get a phone call from one of the admissions officers yesterday and she asked me some questions...
Means I am still in the running after 4 weeks!!! Gotta hang in there!!!

I was out of breath from JUST having worked out so I maybe sounded groggy!!

Hanging in there... barely!!!! What about you smarttiger? Where are you with your apps?? If you need any help or tips or such let me know!!
