Calling all NYU Fall 2010 applicants

anyone matriculating? i've decided to but I haven't seen much activity in regards to decisions.

26.5 M/ Indian Engineer / 710 / 1 yr Entrepreneurship / 3 yrs Senior Credit Analyst in an MNC Bank / CFA L2 / FRM / Alum Reco.

I am! Have you joined the FB group? There are 73 people, most of whom i assume are planning on accepting the offer. Havent heard of anyone on this board who has made the commitment, although i suspect this number will rise once we get closer to the deposit deadline

What would be useful for waitlist people to know when the payment deadline is. This will be a point in time when the Waitlist is most likely to show some movement.

Accepted! My first- feels good. 29/720 (46Q 42V)/3.6 undergrad/3.8 grad. Applied R2 deadline, interviewed 3/16, accepted 3/24. Waiting to hear on finances but I could very well be matriculating...

Has any other R2 applicant heard back this week with an initial notificaiton? I havent heard anything since applying 1/15. Is it certain to expect a ding or a WL w/o interview at some point up unitl April 1 or is there a glimmer of hope as far as getting an interview is concerned?

quantconcerns, I share the same concerns.....I am worried about NYU as well.

I called the office just a few mins ago. They said they will continue to give interviews up until April 1. one thing i is certain though that are situation is definately dicey. The people who get interviews now will miss admit weekend and given how stern is all about community, they would want their admits or potential admits to experience that I think. Also, since they have rolling admissions process, spots are being filled up as we speak so even if we do get an interview, we will be competing for fewer spots.

Despite all that though, getting an interview at this point would mean that you have a serious chance so I am still hoping/praying for one. Hope you get one too! Please do provide an update if you get word.

I personally have contacted people on the Stern Peer Advisory Network who have similar career goals as I do, and asked them all my general questions about the school/housing as well. The three people I have spoken with were incredibly helpful and friendly, and their desire to assist in my transition has convinced me I made the right choice in picking Stern from a personality standpoint. Aside from 3underscore, who didnt return my PM question about the interview process everyone I have talked with at Stern has gone out of their way to help.
