Re: Tests Feedback Thread [#permalink]
can any one please, tell if the the Club verbal tests font is same as actual GMAT test.
I think default font is smaller. Don't know if it is because of my laptop screen size. many thanks

I dont know why test prep companies keep font size so small and there is no opton to increase the font size :(

youven: We are not working on the Verbal Sets at the moment. We have not found a good Verbal questions writer.

einstein10: I think the font size depends greatly on the screen resolution. GMAT Prep uses 800x600 resolution, and I think the real GMAT uses the same 800x600 resolution. You can increase the font using your browser. Another option would be changing your laptop resolution to a smaller one.

Hi Gmat Club,

I love you very much.

Please update more of Verbal practice tests.

Also, why don't you come up with Full Length Tests instead of just sectional tests.

I would love to see more tests in GMATCLUB.

Thanks and Regards,

Thanks for the kind words and a suggestion!

We were considering full length tests some time ago as far as I know. Having separate parts for Verbal and Math worked fine till now, but we should look into it again. If we get enough requests to make full length tests, we'll do it.

Another option was to have a downloadable software that would be installable on Windows system. That is another looong project :).

Re: Tests Feedback Thread [#permalink]
Is there an excel sheet or a thread/information where the questions from the test are grouped topic wise.

For eg
Topic: Speed/Rates Questions
Test1 - qs 10
Test 2 - qs 15 etc..

Topic: Standard Deviation
Test 1 - Qs 5
Test 2 - qs 19
...
...
Test 25

Thank you

No, there is no such sheet. I'll see if I can compile one. Please don't double post.
Thanks for the suggestion!

Dzyubam,

Thank you and sorry for the double post. I did break down 2/3 tests topic wise in an excel sheet. I have sent you an Excel sheet as a PM that covers All the topics included in the 25 tests.

Hope it is of help.

Like the Maths tests here.....sets you thinking in different directions though really sweat you out!
Just had a suggestion: Is it possible to include the difficulty level of the questions while reviewing the test at the end (difficulty level vis -a-vis GMAT questions 1-10 scale) This would really help judge where the person is in terms of 500/600/700 level.........

Thank you - this a great suggestion. Most questions are 700+ level though (with some fillers to throw you off guard), so there would be mostly just a few categories. A better option would be to see which questions were answered wrong by most people - I will research if this is possible and if it can be done soon.

Is this also true of the Verbal tests too, that most questions are 700+? Thank you bb!

Thanks for the free access today, much appreciated.

I've been working through the verbal tests and have notice a couple of minor QA issues unrelated to the actual question being asked:

V02#20 - there is a typo in the question, "cost" vs "most"
Quote:
The author mentions previous findings that "cost cola drinkers thought vinegar would worsen the taste" primarily to

V03#23 - the underlined sentence fragment "Being that" is given as the forth option rather than the first.

Thanks again

Re: Tests Feedback Thread [#permalink]
Hi, just purchased the tests.

One issue is that it doesn't seem possible to search this forum to see if certain questions have been discussed already. For example, searching "m01 q24" fails, because search strings need to be 4 characters or more. Moreover, there doesn't appear to be a standardised format for thread names on questions (formats such as "M01Q24" and "m01 q24" seem to occur).

Is it possible to resolve? Subforums for each test with separate threads for each answer? Improved search functionality?

Thanks in advance,
Matt

Re: Tests Feedback Thread [#permalink]
Hi,

Please read this thread for more details on how we deal with it at the moment:
please-read-this-before-posting-71350.html

At the moment, the best way to search for the questions that are not listed in the Master Threads is searching for a string from a particular question via Google Custom Search at the top of every page.

We are working on improving the native forum search feature.
