hi,

I'm quite new to gmatclub, I don't even know if it's the right place to post this query i had about selecting an appropriate program. Though the name of the stream suggests it might be :roll:

I need some guidance on a course called "Sustainable Enterprise Management" or Green Mba.
It's a specialized course. I find the course and the curriculum very interesting and have been reading a lot about the green side of business. What I'm not sure about is if it's feasible or rather wise for me to opt for this course. Feasible in terms of getting admittance in the program. Wise in terms of the universities that offer this course and job prospects post mba.

I just have 2 years of work ex in IT sector as a developer and
I'm an engineer in Information Tech.
Yet to take GMAT in september.

It's not a bad idea, but like all specializations, you want to go to the best school possible. I'm far from an expert on the subject, but Michigan (Ross) and Berkeley (Haas) tend to have really popular sustainability programs.

hi there,

First of all, thanks a lot for replying.I understand that the topic i have posted is really off beat :? ....but can you suggest some stream where i can find some more info atleast.....i'm really confused whether i should go ahead with more research into this field.....coz i'm not sure if it's the right time? And as far as i know Michigan(Ross) and Berkeley(Hass) don't have a full fledged Sustainability curriculum in place. Perhaps a few electives along with the regular course.

You can research the list of schools on the website Beyond Grey Pinstripes for information about green MBAs. There are many schools offering courses in social responsibility, sustainability, etc, and some of the schools listed the BGP rankings are also ranked highly on the "traditional" lists (USNews, FT, etc.). And there are some not "traditionally" highly ranked but place very high on the BGP list.
