Hello Linda
A question on the selection of schools. My profile below....
1. Mechanical Engineer
2. G.P.A ( 3.1 perhaps... not sure)
3. GMAT - 640 (49Q, 29V)
4. Toefl - 633 (paper-based)
5.Exprnc - 10 years (5 coutries, 4 languages)
Now the question. I have applied to Cornell, IESE (Spain), and Purdue. I presume this list is too short. I may need to keep some safety schools as well some high schools. I am thinking of,
London Business School, Olin, Babson.
The question is, do I stand a good chance on the already selected schools. (Cornell, Purdue and IESE), and what wud be my chances on the second list (Olin, LBS, Babson).
How would you rate HEC-Paris, and Inst Empressa (spain)and RSM (netherlands) compared with the above schools and again my success in the above 2 as well. Apart from this, any suggestions on the schools that I should apply. My focus is on International business.
I have heard good words from HEC and IE (over a telephone conversation with the adcoms.....intial screening though). I am confident with the apps to Purdue, HEC and IE.
Your opinion and suggestions on schools apart from the list, though the list is not confirmed, are welcomed.
Regards
Cornell and LBS are stretch schools for you. You have a competitive profile for the other schools you applied to. You would also have a competitive profile for HEC-Paris, and Inst Empressa (spain)and RSM. BTW, we have recent transcripts for chats with
HEC,
RSM
We are currenlty trying to schedule a chat with Cornel, but you can access last year's
Cornell Johnson transcript.
I terms of other schools, have you considered the University of South Carolina (Moore) or Georgetown?
Good luck!
