Thanks a lot guys.I was in a dilema more about the ideal time to write the GMAT and the validity of value of the score after 5 years as the GMAT pattern would have changed by that time.Thanks for the advice. :)

Hi kartikbhat,

I recommend you take the GMAT before starting work as you will have more time to prepare. Your GMAT score carries for 5 years, so you do not need to apply to an MBA program directly after you take the test.
