Archived 'Calling All Tepper Applicants' Topic
Hi there,
You've reached an old 'Calling All Tepper Applicants' discussion which is now
outdated and has been archived. No more replies are possible here.
I probably will very soon. I am a bit late in starting my apps. Got done with GMAT in July and researched schools for a month or so and just got started on the essays. Didn't really have the time to visit the schools.
OTOH, I live in Columbus, Ohio which is very close to Pittsburg (~3 hours) and have visited the CMU campus in the past (Not Tepper in particular). So am familiar with Pitt and love the city.
Are you applying for Fall 2011 too? Have you visited yet?
Class2012, you know of any others in your class who did that?
I know atleast 3 ppl who did that.
Any idea if they were from CMU's 5 year program for their undergraduate students? I'm trying to gauge their openness to recent undergrads from other schools.

I know one student who is doing the 5 yr program. The three I mentioned before are from different schools.
I read on couple of last year threads that they received interview calls as early as the day after they submitted their applications. How is the actual process? Since October 25 is the deadline, will all the interview calls starting flowing only after this date?

Hi, Count me in for the Round 1.
I'm working on my application and currently editing the "activities" section. It seems that Tepper requires you to write a list of your activities in a freestyle manner, in a separate document.
Does anyone have any practical advice/experience with this? Should I take more of an "essay-writing" approach for writing about my activities, or just list my activities with required details in a factual matter?
