I was wondering the same thing. I'm applying R1.
I'm a little disappointed their app went live so close to the first deadline. It put me in an awkward position with my recommenders, who were expecting a little more runway.
I wasn't really focusing on McCombs 'til the app came out and I just realized a few days ago I need to send in all official transcripts. Whoops! Better get on that...

Why don't you take the lead and start the official McCombs master thread?
Done! I'm going to apply as soon as my essays are done and my recommendors get their crap together.
Unfortunately, I don't think I'll get to visit or attend an off-campus info session. I wanted to make it to the recent one in Chicago, but they did a horrible job advertising it. I visited the site constantly looking for something in Chicago, and only saw the MBA World Tour event until I got an email the night before the event in Chicago.

Keep in mind, McCombs doesn't have deadlines (in the traditional sense). They use rolling admissions, which means they read applications in the order that they are submitted, providing a response within 8-12 weeks. I think the dates are just to give you a general target to shoot for.

Good point...I'm telling my recommenders the deadline is November 1, but I'm going to push them to get it in sooner.

We can just upload scans of official transcripts. We can send them the official transcripts only after we get an admit. Or am I wrong?

Hey, is everyone here applying to McCombs from the US? I'm having trouble filling the education history section in the application. It doesn't accept non-US school names in the high school section since the name of my school isn't there in the auto-fill options. I had sent a mail to the concerned people, but yet to receive a reply. Any suggestions?

Hi
Any current students out here? Can you please reply to my above post? I've mailed the admission committee regarding the error, but they haven't replied back yet. Its been 5 days now. Or any international student who is having the same trouble?

Because UT is on a rolling admission basis, do you guys know when deposits are due? For a lot of schools they're due a month or so after you get your decision, but maybe for UT it's not due until late spring, even if you get an acceptance in January? Anyone know?
