Hi,

My hearty congratulations, and I must say that you have really turned the tables- AWESOME!!
Well, I take great inspiration from you because I'm a re-taker as well. I too got an exact 560 (Q43,V25) in my first attempt, which I took Jan 2010. Moreover, I too follow a pretty much same 14 hour work schedule as you do. I've just started preparing again with a fresh and motivated mind, and I hope I too see the golden "7??" this time.

Thanks again for sharing your experience. Good Luck for your applications.

Regards
Viv

Congrats.

Awesome post and story. I'm actually in an almost identical spot with respect to the overall score and Q/V breakdown, so it gives me some hope.

Also, one of the best uses for the various emoticons i've seen around here.

A few tips from my side:
You may have read these many times in this forum, but worth another read if you are interested.

1. To save time in verbal, during the instructions (One minute) before the first question, write down ABCDE, or whatever you wanna write on the workbook.
2. Solve-Guess-Solve-Guess is the best strategy if you dont have time to complete.
3. Take the ear plugs to save yourself from the annoying sounds of non-lubricated chairs and keyboards.
4. Talk to a friend every time you are anxious. He/She will ensure you dont break under stress.
5. Dont let the previous section bother the present section. (Even if it does, get out of it in the first question) :)
6. Follow the strategy that are are comfortable with. For example, I followed a strict no-writing-strategy for RC. I tried to understand every passage and get the flow.
7. Take as many tests as possible if you feel you have completed reading all the concepts that GMAT can throw at you.

Cheers!

[quote="gmatretake"]My Comeback:

I just started preparing for the GMAT again.
In my first take I got 630, I hope I can pass the 700 barrier.
It difficult to start studying again.
But your quote was of great inspiration.
Hopefully I will nail this damn test.
Bests....
