apologies for being late with my reply; one universal (and very important) hint that everyone knows about, but most people forget before and during admission interviews is that the conversation is mostly about your fit.

For those who got an invite today, think thoroughly about why you could be a good fit for Wharton, and why would the best b-school in the world be a good fit for you. It takes two to tango.

i hope this is a case of sarcasm/humor not coming through a message board correctly because if this was serious, it's comments like these that really make students at wharton look like asses.

anyway, congrats to all with invites, those who didn't receive invites, as annoying as it is to hear right now, please don't feel too dejected. the b-school application process can be quite random at times, so don't let this setback shape your outlook on your chances at the other great schools many of you applied to.

lol xerox has always been there to help out applicants and answer questions and has even helped me through the lauder application process even though we don't know each other outside of this forum so I can assure you your fellow Whartonite is anything but an ass! maybe just overly passionate about W :)

I second staind. Xerox is a rock star in contributions and especially helpful to this forum's Wharton fans. Knowing the friendly and helpful feud going on between Booth and Wharton fans on the forum ( chicago-vs-wharton-74034-20.html ) I think his joke was fitting.

Ding! 730 gmat, 5 years in ib and pe, 3.5 GPA, Indian.
Reapplicant here. Got essays reviewed by 2 current wharton students and was told that essays are much better than the one submitted last year.
I am not sure if these schools really mean when they say that they are re-applicant friendly...

I got an invite to interview at Wharton. I have 750 gmat and 2.6 GPA. I think the design your own course essay I wrote may have put me over the top at this school.

Wow, really? I'm speechless. It wasn't that I was implying that Wharton isn't a GREAT school; I just wanted to express my excitement over an invite. On the other hand, I also want to express my worries over the Booth invite (maybe not the appropriate forum, but surely that's not a crime eh?)

Anyways, I'm not sure if I offended you in any way, but I didn't mean what you had envisioned.
