I submitted on the 10th and got the email listed. On the 16th I received this long email:

evaluating each application thoroughly. We review applications and provide
notifications on an ongoing basis.

We will inform you of any updates to your application via email. You can
also check the status of your application online at any time. Simply log on

NYU Stern is not responsible for any technological issues (including email
filters, etc.) that prevent applicants from receiving our communications.
Please contact your email provider and/or set your spam filter preferences
to ensure you will receive email from all stern.nyu.edu email addresses.
Our Application Review Process
After reviewing your application, the Admissions Committee will provide you
with an initial notification. If your application is complete by the
deadline, you will receive an initial notification by the notification date.

Initial Notification
You will be notified via email that your status has been updated on the
Application Status Check Website. Initial notification possibilities are as
follows:
* Interview invitation - Please see details below.
* Offer of a place on the waitlist - You will be notified via email that
your status has been updated on the Application Status Check Website. You
may then view your status online. Please review the waitlist information
carefully.
* Denial of admission - You will be notified via email that your status has
been updated on the Application Status Check Website. You may then review
your decision online.
To protect your privacy, we release the status of your application or
decisions only via the Application Status Check Website.
Interview Invitation
If you are invited to interview, you will receive an email invitation with
scheduling information. Please remember that interviews are offered by
invitation only.
You will need to bring your official transcript(s) and, possibly, other
required materials to your interview.
Because NYU Stern follows an ongoing notification process, you should
request your official transcript(s), translation(s), and/or degree conferral
document(s) early in the application process, before you are invited to
interview. Please view our official transcript requirements online

https://www.stern.nyu.edu/admissions/transcripts) to ensure your documents
meet the requirements.
The admissions interview plays an important role in ensuring the values of
the NYU Stern community are maintained. Therefore, an offer of admission is
never made before the applicant has been invited to interview.
After the interview, please allow up to three weeks to receive an admission
decision. If you do not bring your official transcript(s) or any other
required materials to your interview, your admission decision may be
delayed. Once a decision is made, you will receive an email indicating that
your status has changed, and then you will be able to review your decision
online.
