Hi MBA Apply,
I am an Australian Environmental Engineer working on natural resource development projects for 4 years (almost 5 at Matriculation). I was working for a top mining company for 2 years and now work in a team leader role for a major, World Bank funded, hydro-electric project in Laos. I have worked in natural resource development on projects on 4 continents.
I want to pursue an MBA to develop my business evaluation skills to a level where I can work as an analyst that assesses the financial, social and environmental viability of natural resource development projects. I think I have written quite good essays that demonstrate this goal.
Other stats:
GPA: Not on 4.0 scale, was awarded H2A Honours (B+), Better marks late in degree, National sustainability award for final year design project
GMAT: 770, Q:50, V:44, AWA:4.5
Direct Reports: 3
LOR: I am confident that I will get favourable letters from my recommenders
ECs: Committee member of student organisation for 3 years in undergrad, project management of aid work in Ethiopia, several sporting clubs as player and one as captain.
I am looking at applying to the following schools and wanted to see whether you thought I was a reasonable chance:
Stanford
Booth
Berkeley
IE
IESE
Thanks
