Well, I guess there is 497 places if the January and September takeins are equal (given that there are 994 students), so there is still some (small) chance to be accepted.

Don't forget about the R3 applicants buddy. I think they are prioritized than us. Only if they are not enough to fill the vacancies (is that even possible?) then we will be considered.

I'm not sure who has prioritization (I'm a R3 applicant), but I would guess that INSEAD wants the best students possible. My guess is that you're in the grey-zone somehow (by diversity, qualifications or both), so if R3 applicants are not 'better' or someone with a similar profile dings INSEAD etc. you will get accepted.

I'm sure that you would get the ding e-mail if you're totally out of the loop.

I drew the conclusion on the prioritization by looking at R2. Theoretically they should put us and the R2 applicants together in the same pool, and accept whoever is better by all factors considered. But did INSEAD take anybody off waitlist before accepting R2 applicants? No, they released the results to R2 first, and only when those people rejected the offer, they turned to the waitlisters.

That's why I guess it'd be the same for R3. They'll accept R3 students first and only if the accepted reject then the waitlisters will be considered. Another scenario is, if there are not enough good R3 candidates to fill the vacancy then waitlisters will be considered. But how likely would that be.

Well I dont think that is true, if you look at a few posts back there was someone on R2 waitlist who got accepted. So I guess its really of no use speculating on how their process works.

yes, as all R1 and R2 waitlisters are in the same pool.

Hi Guys, a new week starts. Hope there would be more good news.

Could someone provide the latest numbers on MBA connect? and Chinese admits?

I read through a post about 2010 Sep intake's waitlist on BW forum. The number on 2010/4/14 was 366. It's totally different from this year's surprisingly high number. quite interesting.

Noticed the same. Pity that we don't have any insight on this. Otherwise it would be really interesting

I am going mad looking at the high number of admits currently, specially when compared to last year at the same point of time......Is INSEAD increasing the size of its intake?

Can someone please check and give us the good news of drop in MBA connect numbers (Indians as well)

In my acceptance letter from the waitlist I was given a deadline to pay the first downpayment by mid April. Perhaps you can expect to hear some news after April 18th.
