Howz GMAT Pill course compared to MGMAT or Knewton?

I can't speak for MGMAT a lot, but I can certainly compare GMAT Pill with Knewton.

I took both Knewton and GMAT Pill courses. I see both courses complement each other. Knewton's strength lies in Sentence Correction and Quant (basic to intermediate level). Do read my briefing on the comparison. Knewton creates a niche in providing strong sentence correction fundamentals. It improved my SC score. Knewton's RC approach is similar to MGMAT ( I read the book) and Veritas. Knewton calls its method "MAPS". Veritas coins the similar name. But the underlying approach in all these courses is the same. All these courses will “tell” how to attempt RC. ( emphasis on “tell). Remember that the preparation for reading comprehension is different from , say, sentence correction or critical reasoning. You can be theoretical with sentence correction and critical reasoning, but reading comprehension takes an aboutface approach. You need to be more practical in RC. For example, all courses whether Knewton or Veritas talk about perusing the passage to get the main idea, point of view,blah,blah…..I thought that I understood what Knewton or Veritas was trying to say. But I didn’t. This is where GMAT Pill will help you. Zeke will read the passage as if you are reading it. For example, while reading, he will “show” ( rather than “tell”) that he doesn’t care about a particular sentence in a passage because it’s not relevant to main idea or it has no connection to what I am looking for. He will also providing a satisfactory reasoning. What makes GMAT Pill different is that I can “see” how I should read a RC rather than simply “hear” it. Not to completely discredit Knewton on RC. When you take Knewton CATs , make sure that you apply GMAT Pill method as I found RCs in Knewton CATs are of GMAT style.

Yes, for video explanations of those questions, you would need a GMATPill ID.

However, we do also have many free videos on our site including videos on reading comprehension---how to attack different passages---what to read, what NOT to read, etc.

Make the most of these resources and learn how to think efficiently.
