Hello All,
Gave my first GMAT attempt on May 9,2011. Got a dismal 590 (Q49, V21). Hence, I created the username redemption590! I couldnt believe my eyes when is saw the screen! Although Quant reflects my prep scores, I have never scored so low in Verbal. As anyone would, I plan to retake the test and nail the GMAT on its head. My main concern is the time I would need to prep for a retake. I am thinking of june 8 as the date. Effectively, I have one month in my hand. As I a working, I wont be able to spare more than 4 hrs daily.
My weak areas are:
1. RC
2. CR(the tougher ones) to some extent.
I am quite confident of my SC abilities. I need to improve my verbal score considerably. I am aiming for a 710+ score and i know I have that ability in me.
GMAT prep materials used:
1.
OG 12,
OG verbal and quant review
2. kaplan premiere,kaplan verbal
My GMAT1 prep scores :
MGMAT - 660
Kaplan - 660
GMATPrep1 - 690
GMATPrep1 reset - 710
GMATPrep2 - 720
Veritas - 680
Princeton - 730! (Q51, V40)( phew! Gave it 2 days before test- this had really boosted my confidence )
I simply cannot figure out the area i screwed up in! Although I have been using GMATClub, I never used the
error log. I have downloaded it and will surely use it now.
I know for sure that 590 does not reflect my ability. Please guide me on how to use the time I have in hand effectively. Need help from you experts!
