Which of the following most logically completes the argument?

In their quest to store food for the winter, harvester ants compete with squirrels for plant seeds, limiting the growth of Farmville’s squirrels, which are a public health risk since one in 4 squirrels has been found to carry ticks and fleas. However, the red fire ant, which has recently invaded Farmville, has a venomous sting that can cause severe allergic reactions in humans that can result in suffocation and death. Therefore, the planned introduction into Farmville of phorid flies, a natural ant parasite that kills its host by laying eggs into its thorax, would benefit public health, since _______.

(A) phorid flies are not parasitic to ants other than the red fire ant
(B) red fire ants are less effective than many bird species in competing with squirrels for seeds
(C) certain other species of harvester ants are more effective than red fire ants in competing with squirrels for seeds
(D) the sting of red fire ants can also be fatal to squirrels
(E) some pesticides that could be used to control red fire ants are harmful to the environment

That's the one that finally got me. Really I thought C and E are fair and completish given the choices especially if A or C have to become part of the argument to become the correct choice why a as answer and not as assumption with C as answer ( which you are using to say A is answer)

Red Fire ants have to be removed

IMO: The last sentence starts from "Therefore, the planned introduction into Farmville of phorid flies, .... since/because" and must end with mention of "Phorid flies"..

Option A is the right answer.Harvester ants reduce the food supply of squirrels which pose health hazards to residents of Farmville.
Red fire ants are harmful for the residents because of their deadly sting. So phorid flies should be introduced into Farmville because they are poisonous to ants. The phorid flies should kill only the red fire ants and leave the other ants which are beneficial to the residents of Farmville. The other harvester ants should be left undisturbed because they retard the growth of squirrels carry flies and ticks which pose health hazards to human beings by infecting them. Please give me kudos. I need them badly to increase my score.

Confused between A and E

Option E tells that the pesticides used are harmful.
thus introducing phorid flies would benefit public health since pesticides are harmful.

Option A tells that phorid flies are not parasitic to ants other than red fire ant.

Even if they were parasitic to other ants what would happen?
In the premise it is mentioned that phorid flies are a natural ant parasite that kills it hosts. But should we generalize this statement? i.e if it is parasitic to harvester ant, phorid flies would kill harvester ant as well. ?
