Can u pls explain the difference between particularly and in particular?
If I m not mistaken....both are adverbs??
"In particular" is typically used to modify nouns whereas particularly is typcially used to modify adjectives and other modifiers.
The soup, in particular, was obstanding.
The police officer was not particularly helpful.
