There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
TOEFL ibt: I expect 90-110. Currently I am persueing MBA in USA at unranked uni.
Questions: 1)Assuming I can get 2 strong recommendations and can write good essays What should my minimum score on GMAT be so that I secure my place in one of the top 20 US MBA programs? Which schools fit best ? My wish list: Haas, Yale, Darden, BU
2) What other Universities do u recommend? (I can apply for fall'09 in rounds 2 and 3.) 3) In case I can't retake GMAT where can I go with my current 630? 4) What are other inputs/comments/recommendations from u that may be helpful for me?
Thank u Paul, I really appreciate ur help.

Given your background, you will probably need a 670-680 GMAT to have a chance at Darden, Yale, Haas as well as most other top 20 schools. For BU, your 630 may be enough, but a 650 or so might be helpful. You didn't mention what your goals are so I can't recommend other schools. Keep in mind that applying to B-school while you are currently in another B-school will not be easy. You will have to explain to schools why your current program does not fit your needs, why you originally thought it did, and what you've done at the current B-school academically that shows you can handle a more competitive B-school.
With your current GMAT score you would be competitive at the following respected B-schools: U. of Illinois, Michigan State, Babson, Vanderbilt, USC Moore. These are all good business schools. To improve your profile, you need to show proven, well-rounded leadership both inside and outside of work. Some international experience is also helpful. See Accepted.com's advice for applicants with low GMAT scores.
Good luck, _________________
