Paul, if you don't mind, another profile evaluation [#permalink]
18 Jan 2007, 00:41
Hi Paul,
I'm seeking for admittance in NYU Stern, but my profile is worrying me. I sent my application for full time R2, naturally haven't heard anything yet. My profile:
23 year old Turkish male
2.42 GPA in Economics at Bilkent University, Turkey (ouch, have an explanation for this)
710 GMAT (Q49/V37)
2 years of WE at Deloitte Audit, Turkey
For the leadership issue; leading an audit team for nearly a year, got an early promotion
Exceptional recommendations from my supervisor and my past work colleague
Lots of awards and student high council memberships
Internship at the Central Bank of Turkey, Foreign Relations department
Travelled to NYC from Istanbul just for an info session at NYU Stern (I really don't know if this helps or not)
Splendid essays written for application
Summer school at Switzerland, an experience that proves coping in an international environment
I know my profile is not very strong, but do I at least have a chance?
Thank you very much, Paul, you're the man!

standard,
You are too modest. Your profile is not perfect, but it is strong and distinctive and it is competitive for NYU Stern. Hopefully they will come through for you.
Good luck,
