Which rule is allowed in GMAT to arrive at an answer? Because for some questions answers differ from each rule.
There is no difference between these two:
PEMDAS: Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction.
BEDMAS: Brackets, Orders (ie Powers and Square Roots, etc.), Division and Multiplication (left-to-right), Addition and Subtraction (left-to-right).
It all means the same thing! It doesn't matter how you remember it, just so long as you get it right.
