50% (02:06) wrong based on 3 sessions
People traveling in small cars are more likely to be seriously injured than those traveling in larger vehicles when their vehicle is involved in an accident. Therefore, if more people drove larger vehicles instead of small cars, the number of seriously injured traffic accidents would reduce. Which of the following, if true, most seriously weakens the argument? A. In traffic accidents that involve pedestrians, far fewer pedestrians are seriously injured by small cars than by larger vehicles. B. It is not likely that most people who currently drive small cars will begin to drive larger vehicles instead. C. Got A by POE and A also makes sense. The argument only takes into account the people in the car involved in the accident. A gives a reason for why it is possible for larger cars to cause more damage than smaller cars. Kudos Please... If my post helped.

I think it's D..
It cannot be A, since we are concerned with injuries of people driving the cars, and in A, it talks about the injuries of the pedestrians.

But the most obvious one is If people change their cars to larger vehicles , the no. of traffic accidents would reduce. There may be people who are pedestrians or riding bicycle who get involved in accidents with small cars. But may be in such accidents none of the small cars or large vehicle riders get injuries. A outlines the same issue. Lets look at D which cannot be right answer as it kills the conclusion. Conclusion advocates to switch from Small cars to large vehicles but D states that the injuries are seriously declining. That means there is no need of switching. its totally out of scope and Irrelevent.

by elinimation..only A make sense..A is the best choice among these five ..after all all choice luking too strange..
No any option luks too attractive to weaken the conclusion.

The proportion of traffic accidents that result in serious injuries has been steadily declining for the last ten years. Nope. This says nothing about the two things side by side. It's good news that numbers are down, but no interest to us in the GMATE. Recent technological improvements make larger vehicles safer now than larger vehicles of the past. This if anything strengthens the argument. More evidence that larger vehicles are safe.
