Performance not improving... Severely depressed :-( [#permalink] New post 25 Apr 2011, 19:56
Hi

I am curious to know what role does percentile plays in the score. I see my percentile in Quant and verbal is very different? Can some one please shed some light on the figures to help me understand how I got to that score.

thanks

The test is computer adaptive. As you get more right you get into more difficult questions (and hence a higher percentile). In a higher percentile getting the question wrong isn't as detrimental to your score as getting the "easy" ones wrong. You got more than half wrong so you on average were in the given percentiles. I would recommend getting some basic books e.g. MGMAT and start at the beginning (especially quant)
