PhD Accounting a Reality? [#permalink]

Hello, I am thinking of pursuing a PhD in Accounting so that I can teach at a good (non-top tier) university. Here is my profile
State university - accounting major - 3.2 GPA MS Tax - 3.3 GPA Gmat - taking here soon - probably around 600-650 (what I got when I took it 7 years ago) Work experience: 2 years Big 4, 5 years other public, 3 years at Fortune 500 Planning on teaching as an adjunct in the Spring semester at a local university.
Based on this information, do you think it is possible that I could get into a decent program? I want to focus in taxation and am currently thinking of Maryland (based on proximity)
