PhD Marketing Advice [#permalink] New post 04 Oct 2004, 14:05
Hello All!

This is a great forum! Kudos to the creators!

I am seeking admission to a PhD program in quantitative marketing (for Fall 2005). Is there anyone that can give me advice on where to apply? Also, all of the info I've found regarding personal statements tends to be rather vague. What are the groups general feelings about the personal statement? How long should it be, what should you discuss, etc...

My statistics are as follow:
BS Managerial Economics (small regional college) 3.0 GPA Cum - 3.6 in major
MBA - 3.5 GPA
Master of Statistics (Business) - 3.8 GPA
720 GMAT
2+ Years full time work experience as a Senior Marketing Analyst for a National CPG Firm

Any help or advice you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I've got Wharton & Kellogg on my list of schools to apply to. I'll have to take a closer look at Columbia, Carnegie Mellon & Insead.

How many schools do you recommend applying to? I've heard the number 7 thrown around by a number of different people.

Thanks!

Mathematical Skill Required for Marketing? [#permalink] New post 11 Oct 2004, 14:11
:?: Any thought about the degree of mathematical skill required for a PhD program in marketing? I am wondering if there are any specific topics I should begin to brush up on.

Thanks!!
