Hi Stacy,

Many thanks for your advice on this profile.

1) Work experience: clinical pharmacist (1 year), PhD in pharmaceutical sciences (3.5 years), community pharmacy (1 year), assistant professor at a top European pharmacy school (3 years).

2) GMAT: 720 (Q49, V39). This is my first attemp. In all practice runs I scored 740-750 (Q49 and V42-44). Should I retake?

3) College info: Top Pharmacy School in UK, No GPA (1st class honours (i.e. 4?)), Major: pharmacy, year of graduation: 2003. Grad: PhD, top UK university, no GPA. completed 2008.

4) extra-curriculars: president of a student society/club. Established and lead campain group that was featured by major media outlets (TV). Senior strategic advisor on a successful election campain (local elections). Bilingual

5) Important certifications: Pharmacy

6) Target programs: HBS, Stanford, LBS (also considering Booth - please suggest other top ones that you think would be a good fit).

7) Management in Pharma for a few years then NGO leadership.

Please feel free to add any further advice/information that you deem useful.

You seem to have a good profile.

You just need to articulate why you want an MBA rather than staying in your current field/position. And also why an MBA at Harvard/LBS because you should be able to get into pharm-management with Top 20-30 MBA.

Hi kkma2000,

You have a very strong application. Your numbers certain indicate you have the aptitude and ability to do well in a top MBA program.

My biggest concern is your work experience. Business schools, above all else, are looking to cultivate future leaders, so any leadership/management experience will be important to highlight. Your extracurricular activities are certainly something you can discuss in your personal essays.

The schools you have listed are all fantastic. We have free schools specific advice here:

LBS: http://www.stacyblackman.com/business-s ... ss-school/

We also provide free 30 minute phone consultations here: http://www.stacyblackman.com/contact/

Please let us know if there are any other questions we can answer.
