Wow, that's too bad. I'm sorry to hear it. I dount that you'll be able to delete it. And I think that anything that only comes from you will only help so much. Your best bet, if at all possible, is to have that same person submit an additional letter explaining his mistake and offering a "second try" of a recommendation, this one emphasizing your strengths.
I wish I could offer you more than that. I think the key is that the person who wrote the bad letter (and created the problem) will also need to be part of the solution.
