Co-founded a non-profit group called gandhar based in NJ, which started as a small band interested in making music. After few years, we put our passion to use, by performing for various charity organizations for free and donating the collections. We have performed 6 concerts in last 3 years and few are coming up this year. Other than organizing the events, I also play various kinds of drums for our concert.
My deadline is Fall 2009, I am already very old for applying and cannot afford to delay any more.
My concerns is to be able to convince the adcoms that my old age will not be a hindrance in advacement of my career and delay in applying is not because of lack of focus.
Please look at my profile, and let me know which schools might be good for me.
THANKS PAUL!!!

milindd,
Aside from your age and competitive demographic, your career history shows a lot of movement, which may be an additional concern for schools. If you can address that then, given your goals, you should be competitive at the following schools: Rochester, Toronto, Wisconsin, Cornell, CMU, UNC, Georgetown, Vanderbilt. You could also apply to schools like MIT and Chicago as longshots.
Hope this helps.
