Hello Paul,

Could you please analyze my profile?

Work Experience:

JOb 1:- (GE in India)
Worked for GE at their manufacturing utility as a engineering supervisor handling assembly line for refrigerator for 1.5 years.

Job2:- (tata consultancy)
Software consultancy working on creating software for manufacturing flows.
Worked on many small projects over 3 years as a consultant and frequently visited US for impementation

Job 3: Ernst and Young consultancy, USA
2 years:

Job 4: At Travel Company worked as technology and travel consultant.

Job 5: Investment banking technology

Other highlights:-

1. In my college, I was general secretary (head) of student body of 200.
2. Founded my own consultancy company for 2 years before closing and joining as a full time employee.
3. Co-founded a non-profit group called gandhar based in NJ, which started as a small band interested in making music.
After few years, we put our passion to use, by performing for various charity organizations for free and donating
the collections. We have performed 6 concerts in last 3 years and few are coming up this year. Other than organizing
the events, I also play various kinds of drums for our concert.

My deadline is Fall 2009, I am already very old for applying and cannot afford to delay any more.

My concerns is to be able to convince the adcoms that my old age will not be a hindrance in advacement of my career and
delay in applying is not because of lack of focus.

Please look at my profile, and let me know which schools might be good for me.

THANKS PAUL!!!

Thanks for looking into the profile.
My post-MBA goal is to join an investment banking working on Fixed Income investing
I work directly with Fixed income desk on regularly basis on my current job and I am fascinated by the quant, risk analysis that goes on in fixed income investing.
Obviously this is my short term 3-5 goal, long term goal is to be portfolio manager for a big firm or start my own firm.

milindd,

Aside from your age and competitive demographic, your career history shows a lot of movement, which may be an additional concern for schools. If you can address that then, given your goals, you should be competitive at the following schools: Rochester, Toronto, Wisconsin, Cornell, CMU, UNC, Georgetown, Vanderbilt. You could also apply to schools like MIT and Chicago as longshots.

Hope this helps.
