Hi, Sbkhagra,

Thanks for your post. Your academics seem to be in line with the top programs (assuming you scored at least 80th percentile on quant/verbal sections of GMAT). With only two years of work experience, you are going to need to show leadership and maturity. You are also going to need to tell a compelling story of why you want to switch into investment banking just two years into your career and after your degree in Construction Management. You need to convince the admissions committee this plan makes sense and you have skills/experiences that would make you successful in on this path. It will help your application to have community service and/or extracurriculars, but make sure they are within 3 years of when you apply. You are going to need strong recommendations to get into these top programs, so make sure you select recommenders who will highlight your strengths and leadership abilities.

Good luck,

Hi,

If you feel that you can do better on the GMAT, a higher score could help your application. As I mentioned in my previous post, the GMAT is just one evaluation point for the admissions committee. So, make sure you also focus on demonstrating your professional and personal strengths as well.

Good luck,
Susan
