Hello,
I’m Russian, male, 35 y.o.
1) 11 years of experience in market research on both client and agency sides at well-known international companies. Currently I’m working at IT company’s HQ supervising marketing research projects in different parts of the world (America, Europe, Japan, Emerging markets).
2) GMAT 660
3) Graduated from top Russian university in 2001, degree in applied mathematics and computer science, GPA 3.4 (I think it doesn’t matter much now).
4) Extra-curricular activities- some sports including coaching.
5) Important certifications like CFA, CPA, FSA, or CA – no, but have some corporate awards for leadership, innovation, etc.
6) Your target programs: MIT Sloan, Insead.
7) Your post-MBA goal: change location and get top position in corporate marketing research department
I’d like to get your considerations regarding schools that can help me achieve my goals and probably get some hints about alternative career goal after MBA. My age and working experience rise major question I think. As for my post MBA goals I don’t think that it’s a good idea to plan drastic career change – I’m fine to stay at marketing research. One alternative I see is to try entrepreneurship in field new marketing research technology. I think I’m good at coaching and mentoring (have experience at sports and at work), so probably this may be utilized in HR sphere.
Or should I give up the idea of getting MBA?
Thanks!
A few questions:
1) Have you heard of the Sloan Fellows programs at MIT, LBS, and Stanford? Or the Trium program?
2) What is your GMAT breakdown (percentiles please)
3) Where are you currently located?
4) Are you open to EMBA programs?
5) Have you looked at the blog
MBA over 30?Best,
Linda
