Great! Thanks for the detail!
So the first thought I have is whether you should be doing an EMBA or full-time MBA. At 30, you are on the cusp. An EMBA will be easier to get into (probably), but an MBA might better help you make a jump to another industry (if this is your goal... you haven't yet written about that).

Soooo, in the US, assuming a GMAT of 710, I think you can go for some of the top schools that are outside of the Top 10. So: Ross, Kenan-Flagler, Cox, Olin, Goizueta... I think ISB will be a bit on the tough side (although you can still try), and IIMS should be a wee bit easier, but still tough.

The question is: HOW will you differentiate yourself? There will be many applicants with a profile that is similar to yours, but who have graduated from a better school, or have a better employer on their resume (like MS, Google)... so how will you compete with them? What unique or impressive factor will make you stand out?

Otherwise, when you DO apply, I would suggest that you de-emphasize your Tech experience ( you don't want to sound like someone who is solely a Techie) and emphasize any leadership, as well as your promotions, and great rankings at work.

Hope this helps!

yes, this helps. thank you.

good references and a very good gmat score(710+), promotion details are all that I can carry at the time of applying. also I feel, it will be a good idea to seek help of an expert to design my profile :).

Sounds good! In the meantime put all your energies into that GMAT and see what you can come up with.

Good luck!

And drop in with a post when you have your score.
