Hi, i am an indain IT female 23 years old. I have done my btech at vignan's engineering college affiliated to JNTU kakinada, Andhra pradesh. My B.tech aggregate is 78%.Intermediate 95% and 10th 89.5%. I got placed with tcs in my 4th year btech . Before joining TCS i have worked as assistant professor in an engineering college for 8 months. I joine TCS on 30th jan 2012.I have participated in college level sports events and helped organize many college level fests.

I have taken GMAT in june 2013 . Score(AWA :5, Math :51,verba;:24 Total:640).I am planning to retake the GMAT by 223rd september 2013. I am confused on whether to take tofel or ielts.Tofel dates available only after 0ct 19 2013.Is it ok to take ielts ? I dont want to get into a so so b-school just for the name sake. Please suggest some good b-schools i can aim at.I am interested to apply within first deadline.Awaiting u r reply. :)

Deadlines are fast approaching so you will definitely need to get busy. Kelley is 10/15, McCombs is 10/16, UNC Keenan Flagler is 10/19--these are some you might consider. Definitely need to get your verbal score up although you do have a great quant score at 51. Let us know if we can help you crank out a couple of R1 applications. Being female is an advantage.

Hi i have retaken GMAT on sep 23rd. Score 680(MAth49,veral34)

Now can i aim at some what better schools. Do i need to take ielts or tofel being an indian though of medium of education is english. Suggest me the schools i can aim at. How competetive i am to NYU stren. Yes i would be happy to get a help from you for R1.

Hi consultants,

I have a 4 year work ex in IT gian- Tata Consultancy services. My GMAT score is 730. I have a degree in Engineering. I want to apply for 2014 intake. Please suggest US B schools for the profile such as mine. My BTech CGPA- 8.21, 12th: 88.25 and 10th : 91.0. I will be really grateful for your guidance.

Stern is very competitive and despite the advantage of being female, they might balk at a 680 even though it is a very good score. I don't think you would be nearly as competitive there, but HAving said that, you could certainly be admitted there with a solid application. TOEFL will likely be required and something frankly you might want to do anyway considering your lower verbal score.

Jimmy--with 4 years of experience for a well known frim and a 730 GMAT, you should be competitive at just about any school. If you have some international team experience even better. Not sure of your nationality, but that could potentially factor in as well.
