Working as a Process Design engineer in RIL( Oil, Gas and Petrochemicals section). My work exp will be 42 months by April 2015.

GMAT - 720 (Q-50, V-378, AWA and IR scores yet to receive)

B.Tech. in Chemical Engg from IIT BHU - CGPA- 7.7/10

12th- 91% 10th- 93%

Awarded Certificate of Appreciation By RIL and Bechtel Management for my work on Jamnagar Refinery Expansion Project.

Some of my Extra-curricular activities -

I am a advance level dancer in International style Ballroom and Latin dance forms. Have given several performances and won many awards in this dance form.

Management team of IIT BHU cultural and technical festivals.

Awarded Scholarship and Certificate of Honor by state government

I took a gap after 12th to prepare for JEE.

I am not confident with my GMAT scores as I have heard that 720 is on the lower side for ISB.

Dear Akskshri,

Since you have a specific query, I will keep it short. 720 is definitely NOT low - the ISB average hovers in the 700s. With your non-common experience, it would be ideal to leave the GMAT worry behind and put all your focus on the other parts of the application that hold a lot of relevance too.

Happy Applying

Cheers,

Hi,

You have an excellent profile. 720 is a good score and also you have the freedom to think beyond ISB too. Unless you do big blunders in your application, it will not be a difficult task getting into ISB. However competition is high, with over 7000+ applicants of similar profile, you will have to submit the best possible application to make it easier for yourself. You may look at the chances of other B-Schools too here: http://goo.gl/RZg44t

Hope this helps. All the best!!
