Long Term Career Objective:
To build and run my own import and export company. I am doing this because I have always been inclined with importation and exportation issues and also too, my brothers and sisters have been in this kind of business since I was in elementary. I believe that we can make a successful company by pulling our talents and knowledge together.
Reasons for choosing a school:
1. Affordability- My family is poor and I have responsibility to my family though I am the youngest. I am looking for a business whose fees I can afford to pay.
Choices of School:
Unv. of South Carolina, UNC-Chapel Hill. What other schools should I be looking at?
Sorry for the late reply. I've been traveling and Internet access has been touch and go. First off, your GMAT score will determine to a large degree which schools you should consider competitive, longshotsm, and "safeties." Your cultural background (Filipino) and your healthcare career history will help you stand out, which benefits you. I think it will be important for you to explain the connections if any between your career thus far and your post-MBA goals. Also, you will need to accentuate your leadership experiences; it's unclear from your post whether you manage people or not. But assuming a GMAT in the high 600s, goals in entrepreneurship, and a need for the lower tuition of public schools, I would offer the following schools: UNC and South Carolina (I agree with your choices here), Indiana U., U. of Arizona, U. of Colorado-Boulder, and U. of Maryland. Longshots would include Texas and Michigan.
