Hello Alex,

Could you please evaluate my profile?

Nationality: Korean
Gender: male, single
Age: 31
GPA: 3.0 out of 4.0 (converted from 4.5 scale)
Major: Business administration & English literature (from university in Korea)

Award: the fifth annual nationwide university student economics Universidad (best award in business management simulation game, scholarship from sponsoring corporations)
GMAT: 680 - This is a target score, and I am planning to take the test this month and following....until I get my target score ( I know eventually I can get this score).

Work experience:
Multinational telecommunication corp, Cash accounting 2 years in Ireland, 2 months in Romania on project, 2 years 6 months in US presently.

Target School:
Berkeley Weekend and Evening
NYU Weekend and Evening

I missed first and second round application because of GMAT score. Initially I planned to go for 2nd round, but my first gmat score was bad, so I didn't process application. I am planning to retake and hopefully obtain my target score 680 this month and submit application for Round 3. I have two questions.
Could you evaluate if my profile is too weak for the target programs? I heard that most of business schools have only a few seats for round 3. In this case, if I cannot get the target gmat score this time, would it be better for me to apply next year?

Thank you for your help.

From what I know, part-time programs are a bit different in terms of admissions - the 3rd round isn't quite as bad as it is for full-time programs. Practically speaking, if you can retake the GMAT and hit your target score, I'd shoot for R3 if you can (based on your profile, you should be competitive for those two schools - you seem to have solid experience working/living in multiple countries). If you don't get in, you can always reapply the following year (and no, being a reapplicant won't hurt your chances).
